A quiet Monday night in Akron’s North Hill neighborhood ended with three people in the hospital, after separate shootings rattled a small cluster of residential streets and sent bullets into at least two homes, police said. The victims, a 24-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy, all suffered injuries described by authorities as non-life-threatening. Investigators found multiple shell casings scattered around the area.

Just after 8 p.m., officers were called to the 800 block of Carlysle Street for reports of gunfire. They found a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his arm and chest, and he was taken to Summa Health Akron for treatment. While processing the scene, investigators recovered several shell casings and discovered that two nearby homes had been struck by bullets. No arrests had been announced as of Tuesday, according to WOIO.
