Friends of North Augusta Animals calls for new shelter and expanded community role

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) — A local group says North Augusta’s animal shelter system is overdue for change. They’re pushing for a new facility—and a voice in how it gets built.

“We care about the animals. A lot of folks care about animals. Over 60% of the country has pets, whether it’s cats or dogs,” president of Friends of North Augusta Animals Tyler Galles said.
