Front Range Passenger Rail from Fort Collins to Denver has green light

Colorado’s Front Range Passenger Rail service received the green light from four governing boards with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway on a 25-year access agreement to deliver three daily round trips between Fort Collins and Denver.

The agreement between the Transportation Commission, Transportation Investment Office, Clean Transit Enterprise, Front Ranger Passenger Rail District Board and BNSF allows for initial funding of the $333 million project that hopes to be operational by January of 2029, according to an April 29 release from the governor’s office and the Colorado Department of Transportation.
