HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The need is growing, but the supply is dwindling at the West End Ministries Food Bank, and the service is considering restricting how often people can collect food boxes because of the supply and demand strain.
Executive Director Brad Bowers said that with the cost of living, more people need food, but he has fewer donations due to the cost of living. This is coupled with federal funding cuts that limit their food supply.

“I actually haven’t had meat in about two weeks now … Just six, seven months ago, we would receive maybe eight pallets of food coming in from Second Harvest. Yesterday, we received one pallet,” Bowers said.
Rationing
The weekly food distribution on Thursdays will still happen, but Bowers said the ministry is already rationing the little supplies they have.
