SEATTLE — A 22-year-old man has been charged with attempted kidnapping after prosecutors say he tried to grab and drag an 8-year-old girl from a West Seattle yard in broad daylight.
Cristien Xavier Bugge-Marcum is charged in King County Superior Court with one count of attempted second-degree kidnapping stemming from the April 25 incident, according to charging documents filed Tuesday.
Prosecutors allege Bugge-Marcum approached the child while she was sitting alone on a tree stump outside a home where neighborhood children had been playing. He then tried to abduct her, taking a “substantial step” toward the crime, the charging document states…
