BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The City of Broken Arrow has been contacted about a potential data center project planned for a 51-acre site in east Broken Arrow, though officials stress the process is still in its earliest stages.

City leaders were notified April 21, 2026, of a request for a pre-development meeting involving privately owned land near State Highway 51 and the Creek Turnpike. Officials say these meetings are routine, informational sessions and do not include any approvals.

“It is very early in the process, so we don’t have a lot of details just yet,” City Manager Michael Spurgeon said in a release.

“However, we do recognize the significant interest in data centers and the concerns citizens have about the potential impacts related to noise pollution, utility usages including water and electricity, and the environment. I assure Broken Arrow residents that as soon as we learn details, we will share them accordingly. Furthermore, and I want to be perfectly clear on this matter, no City Councilor, myself, or members of my staff have been asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement about this potential project, and we will not sign an NDA.”
