New plaque at Prospect Heights Middle School highlights school’s Black history in Orange County

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A middle school in Orange County is taking a closer look at its past—bringing renewed attention to its roots as a school that once served Black students.

At Prospect Heights Middle School, a new plaque now sits on campus, offering context and recognition to a history that spans generations.
