SMITHFIELD — Austin Yansom, team lead for nuclear medicine at UNC Health Johnston, has been named an ambassador for the organization.
Yansom supports radiology departments at the Smithfield and Clayton hospitals and plays a key role in nuclear medicine operations. During a recent presentation, CEO Tom Williams highlighted her technical expertise and leadership, noting her work as a superuser for the PACS and NucTrac systems.
“She ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements,” he said. “She embraces new processes and helps train teammates. She also coordinated the launch of two new scans: cardiac amyloid and brain death exams.”…
