AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A woman charged in a federal immigration document fraud case has agreed to plead guilty in Amarillo federal court.
According to court documents filed Tuesday, Claudia Robledo Ramirez pleaded guilty to one count of “Use or possession of fraudulent immigration documents.”
As part of the plea agreement, Ramirez admitted to the facts outlined in the case and waived her right to a jury trial. In exchange, federal prosecutors agreed not to file additional charges related to the conduct underlying the case and to dismiss any remaining charges after sentencing.
The charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 10 years in federal prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release. Ramirez also agreed to pay a $100 special assessment. Any restitution will be determined by the court at sentencing…
