SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation hosted a meeting on Thursday to share initial concepts and gather community input for the planned wild meadows park on the northeast side of the city.
The four-acre park is planned to be located on East Brennan Drive, with amenities including playground structures, walking loops, and integrated shading.
“It’s a goal that we have a neighborhood park experience within a half mile of every rooftop in town, and largely we have accomplished that. Right, I mean, there is some areas like interstate corridors or the airport, where we got some spots where people don’t live, but as the community grows, as rooftops come in, as new neighbors start to gather in spaces, we need to provide that park experience,” said Park Development Manager Mike Patten…
