Staunton man convicted of child neglect, acquitted of malicious wounding

STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) – Chandler Snyder has been convicted of child neglect after a three-day trial.

Snyder was facing two counts of child neglect and one count of malicious wounding after police allege he had abused his two-year old daughter. A preschool teacher corroborated that claim, according to Staunton police.

Snyder’s story starts back in 2024, when his daughter went to her preschool. When teachers saw her, they allegedly found multiple bruises on the young girl’s body. The incident went unreported until another teacher reported the incident in 2025…
