Man arrested after multi-state search pleads guilty to cocaine, gun possession charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A man who was arrested after a multi-state law enforcement search and multiple chases in March, and accused of possessing cocaine and a gun for drug trafficking activities, agreed to plead guilty in Amarillo Federal Court.

According to court documents, Antonio F. Darough filed an agreement to plead guilty in Amarillo Federal Court on Thursday to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and one count of possessing a gun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Court documents said on March 5, Darough allegedly evaded law enforcement in Arizona when they tried to pull over his vehicle for a traffic violation, and drove eastbound towards New Mexico. The Arizona officers then sent out a description of Darough and his vehicle, noting it had an expired registration, to nearby states…
