Yesterday was April 30th. The 155th anniversary of the Camp Grant Massacre. Today is May Day. Tucson is still thinking about it.
More than a year ago, seventh and eighth-graders from Miles Exploratory Learning Center walked into a TUSD board meeting and told the adults exactly what to do. They brought research. They brought Apache words. They brought proposals with new names already picked out: not just for one school, but for two.
