Cinco de Mayo is around the corner, and there’s one fiesta on the Grand Strand you won’t want to miss.
At noon on Tuesday, May 5, Taco Mundo Kitchen y Cantina at Barefoot Landing kicks off the biggest Cinco de Mayo fiesta on the Grand Strand. General Manager Erin Parker said she expects that the celebration, now in its eighth year, will attract between 2,500 and 3,000 attendees.
Whether docking the boat or arriving by car or golf cart, guests will enjoy breathtaking views of the Intracoastal Waterway, along with taco specials, giveaways and a human pinata who, when hit enough times with pool noodles, gives out swag and prizes.
At 1:00, live music with Kellie J & Larinza begins and at 4:00, sponsor Don Gato Tequila, founded by Danny McBride, will have representatives on site for tequila tastings. Throughout the afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to purchase food and margaritas, frozen soft-serve margaritas and buckets of beer from various walk-up stations set up around the property…
