Buffalo Central Terminal volunteers prepare for spring cleanup, honor one of their own

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Volunteers at Buffalo’s Central Terminal are gearing up for a spring cleanup event that will honor longtime volunteer Tom Luby, who dedicated nearly two decades of service to the historic site.

Among those volunteering is Bill Wild of Sloan, who said he has spent 20 seasons working at the terminal. Wild described the ongoing work volunteers take on at the site.

“We cut the grass in the grounds. We cut approximately six acres of usable grass for different events and everything. And that’s part of the volunteer dedication, cutting weeds, trimming trees, picking up after winter debris, and mowing on, mowing these lawns,” Wild said…
