FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control hosted their annual “Barks and Mews” gala, this year’s theme being “A Night in Paws Vegas.”
The event is geared towards raising money for the organization’s Angel Fund, which is donated money set aside for animals who are in need of some extra help.
“So we do this annually as a fundraiser for our Angel Fund. The Angel Fund is so important for Animal Care and Control. It truly is how we do the happy endings for the animals that come into our care,” said Tyna Reiter, FWACC’s Community Outreach and Humane Education Public Information Officer. “So if they need surgery, or if they need special medicine, or even special foods, that’s all taken care of through the Angel Fund.”…
