LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Mayor Linda Gorton is responding to complaints about the conditions of Fontaine Road.
For the last several months, Kentucky American Water has been working on a water main upgrade project on Fontaine Road in downtown Lexington.

The company announced last August that it invested approximately $4.5 million in additional water main improvement projects in Lexington as part of the company’s “ongoing commitment to providing safe, clean, and reliable water service.”
Contractors are replacing cast-iron water mains with new, ductile iron pipes as part of the company’s Qualified Infrastructure Program. In addition, contractors are also replacing fire hydrants, valves, meters, and utility-owned service lines.
