LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – For many, any day at Keeneland starts with tailgating at the hill. On Derby Day, it’s no different. That’s where we find Louisville native Jaclyn Williams.
“It’s like a cultural holiday for us. I’ve been celebrating this since like Kindergarten. We ran the kindergarten derby and made fake jockey silks and all that and ran in a little circle so, it’s been a long time celebration for me but I’ve been living in Ohio so coming back to Kentucky to celebrate is way more fun,” Williams said.
Race fans said watching the Derby at Keeneland is far cheaper than traveling to Louisville…
