Man hit, killed by train on railroad bridge over Harpeth River

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway following the death of a man who was reportedly struck by a train while walking along a railroad bridge across the Harpeth River Saturday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2. The Metro Nashville Police Department said detectives responded to the railroad crossing at McCrory Lane and Highway 70.
