Sunny conditions return

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A much needed day of rain across the area today. Unfortunately, it will like to no impact to our ongoing drought conditions across the area. Today the most rain accumulated near the coast. Most areas near the coast back to the Pee Dee and border belt received between 0.40-0.60″ of rainfall. This will help settle the dust, but much more rain will be needed.

Tonight we will see skies begin to clear. Some patchy fog might stick around in a few locations, otherwise, we will see clear skies, and temperatures falling into the low to mid 40s outside of our coastal areas. Near the coast lows fall into the upper 40’s.

High pressure will push it’s way into the area. We will start to see sunny conditions and warming temperatures. Monday will be near 70 degrees, as we get into Tuesday and Wednesday temperatures will be warming into the mid to upper 70s at the coast. Upper 70s to low 80s inland…
