ORANGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A 25-year-old woman was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after she overturned her car while trying to avoid a deer in Orange County early Thursday morning.
At around 3:21 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, an Orange County deputy responded to Route 3 near Pilgrim Church Road for reports of a motor vehicle crash where the vehicle had rolled onto its roof with the driver still inside.
The driver was a 25-year-old woman from Midlothian who tried to avoid a deer when she overcorrected.
During the investigation, deputies conducted a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, where the woman recorded a blood alcohol concentration of double the legal limit. She was charged with DUI and was held in the Central Virginia Regional Jail until sober…
