Teen Robbed, Beaten at Queens Subway Station as Group Flees on 7 Train

QUEENS, NY — A 15-year-old boy was robbed and punched repeatedly inside the Court Square–45 Road subway station on Wednesday afternoon, April 29, after a group of individuals confronted him and stole his phone, according to the NYPD. The attack escalated when one of the suspects pulled a knife and demanded the teen’s shoes before the group fled onto a Queens-bound 7 train.

The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. inside the busy transit hub in Long Island City. Police said the suspects approached the victim, snatched his phone, and struck him multiple times in the head and body during the robbery.

The confrontation intensified as one individual displayed a knife and ordered the victim to hand over his shoes. The teen refused, and the group fled moments later, boarding a 7 train heading further into Queens, the NYPD said.
