Rally-goers plead to save Central Mass. school as override vote closes in

WEST BROOKFIELD – Five-year-old Amelia Docimo does not want the West Brookfield Elementary School to close. She has yet to attend a single class, but she’s come to know the school through her 6-year-old sister, Aurora.

“It’s a very nice school, with very nice people,” said Aurora.

The Docimo sisters were among more than 50 adults and children to line up along the Route 9 side of the Common on May 2 to support a Proposition 2 ½ override that, if successful, could save their school for at least one year…
