Spokane police emphasize safety measures ahead of Bloomsday event

SPOKANE, Wash. — Organizers are reminding participants and residents about important traffic restrictions and safety measures ahead of Spokane’s annual Bloomsday event.

Vehicles parked along the event route face towing beginning at midnight Sunday morning. Residents should consult the course map and watch for red placards that mark tow-away zones.

Street closures along the course will begin at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday. For those not participating in Bloomsday, downtown travel will remain available on Ash, Maple, Division/Browne, and Hamilton Streets, which stay open throughout the day…
