Limited to 50 entries, the Buffalo Poker Run opened registration yesterday and—according to a post on the Western New York Powerboat Association Facebook page—is “filling up filling up fast.” The Lake Erie event is set for August 7-8..
The 2025 Buffalo affair attracted a near-capacity 45 entries. As they have since the evet’s inception, proceeds from the event will go to Excalibur Leisure Skills Center, a Buffalo-based that provides boating experiences “for adults and children with physical and cognitive challenges,” according to the nonprofit organization’s website.
The two-day happening also supports the E.M. Cotter Fireboat Conservancy, which helps preserve one of Buffalo’s most historic vessels.
Returning participants include Upstate New York’s Kelly O’Hara, a longtime devotee to the Buffalo Poker Run. “It remains one of his favorite events…
