MURRELLS INLET, S.C. (WBTW) — Golfers across the Grand Strand on Sunday joined the fight against a debilitating neurological disease, taking part in the 7th annual “Swing for the Cure ALS” benefit.
The event took place at Murrells Inlet’s Indigo Creek Golf Club and drew in more than 100 people.
According to the ALS Association, those diagnosed will only live two to five years after diagnosis, but locally, the community is stepping up to increase that lifespan through one of the state’s most popular pastimes…
