MURRELES INLET, S.C. (WPDE) — Murrells Inlet residents marked a longtime tradition Sunday by taking to the streets and waterways for the 34th annual Spring Tide Community Clean Up, an event that began in the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo in 1989.
Volunteers gathered to collect trash throughout the community, with some heading out on boats and kayaks to reach debris in the water.
