MSPCA seeks info on underweight, hypothermic dog found on the street in Boston

The MSPCA is asking the public to share any information they may have about an underweight, hypothermic dog that was found on the street in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood late last month.

The Cane Corso mix was brought to MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston by Boston Animal Control on April 22, the animal welfare nonprofit said in a press release. Hospital staff named him “Balboa.”

“When Balboa first arrived at our emergency room, he was weak and significantly underweight — to the point that his ribs and hip bones were clearly visible,” Veterinarian Emily Hussey said in the release. “His body temperature was also dangerously low.”…
