Teen injured, charged following crash on I-65 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A teenager was charged with reckless driving after a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 65 in Nashville Saturday morning.

The incident was reported shortly before 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, at mile marker 86 on I-65.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2016 Kia Optima and a 2008 Acura TL were both traveling northbound on I-65, just north of the Rosa L. Parks Boulevard entrance ramp, in neighboring lanes, but then the Kia “made an improper lane change” and collided with the left side of the Acura. As a result of the initial impact, the Kia reportedly lost control and started spinning, during which time it struck the Acura again…
