COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — Firefighters in South Lane County contained a residential structure fire early Sunday morning after arriving to find flames venting from the eaves and heavy smoke throughout the home.
Crews from South Lane County Fire & Rescue stretched hose lines, made entry and launched an aggressive interior attack while also working to stop the fire from extending into the attic. The fire was brought under control before it could fully involve the structure, limiting additional damage.
No injuries were reported, and all occupants were accounted for. One pet died in the fire…
