TOLEDO, Ohio — The approval of the Transformation 2.0 plan marks a turning point for Toledo Public Schools and Superintendent Romules Durant is locked in to see it through.
The board moved forward with the plan to address a multi-million dollar budget deficit last week, and WTOL 11 has learned that Durant’s long-term future with the district was settled months ago.
“I’m already renewed for another five years,” he said. “I’m a diehard. I’ll be in my 13th year, second-longest tenured superintendent in the history of TPS.”…
