Doctor charged with practicing medicine without license in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (WNDU) – A Chicago doctor is facing felony charges in Kosciusko County after police say he was giving IV treatments out of a home in Warsaw without a license to practice medicine in Indiana.

Michael Close, 62, has been charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license and unlawful possession or use of a legend drug. He is also facing a battery charge.

Court documents say investigators received a letter raising concerns about a woman’s welfare, claiming Close was injecting her with IV NAD treatments, which is commonly marketed for wellness but should be done under appropriate oversight…
