Convicted felon caught with two guns, meth in pickup at Salem park

SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — A convicted felon was caught with two guns and nearly 20 grams of meth during a traffic stop on Friday, Salem Police said.

Officers say they got a tip that 40-year-old Wyatt Trip had a firearm, which is illegal for convicted felons under federal law.

Salem Police spotted Tripp in his blue Ford Ranger parked at Riverfront Park. They launched a drone, and Tripp allegedly shined a light at it before moving his pickup to another lot at the park…
