Kiwanis Club of St. Clair County West receives $1,000 grant

MOODY, Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The Kiwanis Club of St. Clair County West has received a $1,000 matching grant from the Alabama Kiwanis Foundation to support hygiene closets in local schools.

With the funding it is hoped that hygiene closets can be established or enhanced in high schools throughout St. Clair County and the Leeds area, said an announcement from the City of Moody.

“These hygiene closets will provide students with access to essential personal care items, helping remove barriers to learning and promoting dignity, confidence, and well-being,” said the announcement. “Through this effort, Kiwanis continues its mission of serving children and strengthening communities—one student at a time.”
