Spokane West Plains residents can get water filters May 9

SPOKANE, Wash. — Reports from Spokane International Airport, the City of Spokane and Spokane County said the agencies planned a May 9 open house for West Plains residents who use private wells in an area identified by the Washington State Department of Ecology in the airport’s PFAS investigation.

The event was set for Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waste to Energy Plant commercial area, 2900 S. Geiger Blvd.

Residents did not need a positive PFAS test to receive a water filter. Homes already connected to City of Spokane water were not included because that water was regularly tested and safe…
