Keeping downtown Ann Arbor clean is city’s mission as service team talks continue

ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor officials are continuing to discuss the Downtown Development Authority’s vision for a new service team to help maintain downtown and keep it clean.

But they now expect the DDA-funded program will take at least 12 months to develop.

In the meantime, City Council voted unanimously Monday night, May 4, to direct City Administrator Milton Dohoney to implement periodic and supplemental cleanings of downtown by city workers, under the direction of the city’s public works unit, and to authorize any necessary city budget amendments…
