WAYNESBORO, Va. (WHSV) – A pedestrian died after a collision with a vehicle in Waynesboro on Monday night, May 4, according to the Waynesboro Police Department.
The crash happened around 8:43 p.m. in the 2000 block of Rosser Avenue. WPD officers, along with the Waynesboro Fire Department and Waynesboro First Aid Crew, responded to the report of a pedestrian hit by a car in the area and began rescue efforts after finding the injured adult. The pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly after, WPD said.
WPD said its initial investigation determined the pedestrian was someone WPD officers had encountered earlier Monday for a different call for service nearby the collision site. WPD has not identified the driver, as identification and next of kin notification is pending…
