EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – After a prolonged dry stretch, beneficial rain is finally on the way. Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move through today and tonight, bringing much-needed moisture to help ease drought conditions across the area. However, this system comes with some weather hazards to monitor.
Expect around one inch of rain, with isolated higher amounts possible. While the overall severe weather threat is low (level 1 out of 5), a few isolated severe thunderstorms could develop with damaging winds as the primary concern. Additionally, minor flooding is possible, especially in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
