Kalamazoo Township man accused of shooting inside home, fleeing police and drug possession

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo Township man was arrested for damaging a home, fleeing police and drug charges Sunday.

At around 8:30 p.m., officers from the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired and a disturbance at a residence on Crestview Avenue.

Reports stated a man named Michael Vandenberg was actively damaging a home, shooting a gun inside the home, making threats, and attempting to start a fire, according to police.
