HONOLULU (KHON2) — National Police Week is a time to reflect on fallen heroes nationwide from May 11 to May 16. During the remembrance, dozens of Hawaiʻi police officers will be honored across the islands.
“Police Week is a somber reminder that the men and women of this department place their lives on the line every shift of every day,” said Police Chief Reed Mahuna. “Policing is more than a profession, it’s a commitment to serving others, often during their most difficult moments. This week is a reminder of the responsibility we carry and the trust our island community places in us.”
