CHICAGO — A man is dead, and an investigation is underway following a drive-by shooting on the city’s Southwest Side on Tuesday night.
Chicago police said the shooting unfolded just after 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 71st Street, in West Englewood.

According to police, the victim, a 47-year-old man, was standing outside in the area when an SUV approached, and an individual inside the car opened fire in his direction.
