Lincoln Crime Stoppers is looking for help tracking down suspects in a pair of forgery and fraud cases.
LPD’s Becky Keller says back on February 4th, a report was taken from Cato Fashions at 27th and Superior that they received some counterfeit money a couple days prior. Keller says they reviewed transactions and video footage which showed a woman purchasing a $25 gift card with a fake $100 bill, and receiving cash back for it.
She says they didn’t realize it until they took the cash to the bank and the bank informed them the cash was counterfeit. Two other reports were taken that this same individual did the same thing at Boot Barn and Tractor Supply store, both also on N. 27th Street…
