ANN ARBOR, MI. – Blue Whale Cafe, a popular Ann Arbor restaraunt, shut down permanently due to rising rent costs.
The cafe on 2420 E. Stadium Blvd announced its closure on the windows of its cafe. While the restaurant’s signage remained, the windows were blocked and the door was locked. Multiple attempts to reach ownership over the phone or by email were unsuccessful.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have closed our cafe,” the note from the cafe’s ownership read. “We have been unable to accept the increased rent with our new landlord during this difficult economy.”…
