‘Large quantity’ of marijuana found in Ypsilanti-area warehouse after fire

YPSILANTI TWP., MI – Police are investigating after a “large quantity” of marijuana was found in an Ypsilanti-area warehouse after a fire.

An undisclosed amount of marijuana was discovered in a warehouse at 1853 and 1854 Cadillac Avenue in Ypsilanti Township, confirmed Crystal Campbell with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. There are no state records for marijuana licenses to those addresses.

Drivers on I-94 called emergency services around 10 p.m. on April 29 to report they could see a fire somewhere near the freeway, Capt. Scott Gehringer with the Ypsilanti Township Fire Department previously said. The fire destroyed most of the building…
