Worker falls from scaffolding after shocked, burned in Cincinnati neighborhood

NORTH AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) – A construction worker was critically injured while working at a North Avondale home Wednesday.

The worker was on scaffolding while rehabilitating a chimney at a home on Abington Avenue just after 10 a.m. A Cincinnati Fire Department spokesperson said the scaffolding was alongside and within high-tension lines.

The construction worker came in contact with a high-tension line carrying 7200 volts of electricity. He was shocked and burned and fell about 30 feet to the ground. The worker was rushed to the hospital…
