EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville woman faces two felony neglect charges after police said they found her elderly father and disabled brother living in conditions covered in feces and urine.
Kathryn Payton, 51, was charged with two counts of neglect of a dependent, both Level 6 felonies, according to an affidavit for probable cause filed in Vanderburgh Superior Court. Police said the charges stem from a May 1 incident at an apartment on Lincoln Avenue.
Officer M. Reid with the Evansville Police Department stated he responded to the apartment after a pest control company reported finding a man inside who appeared unwell and was covered in feces.
