FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The 12-year-old boy who was the other rider in a deadly mini motorcycle crash in Fresno on Friday has had his lower leg amputated, the family has confirmed.
The boy and his cousin, 13-year-old Dominiq Puentes, were riding a mini motorcycle in the area of Palm and Bullard avenues at around 10:40 p.m. on Friday. The 13-year-old was killed in the crash, while the 12-year-old was taken to the hospital following the incident.

The family of the 12-year-old boy has set up an online fundraiser to help with his recovery. In it, the family describes the incident as an incredibly difficult time, adding that he will need “extensive physical therapy, ongoing medical care, and eventually a prosthetic to help him regain his independence.”
