SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Chatham County Fire Department (CCFD) units were called to the 100 block of Runaway Point Road for a reported structure fire with possible entrapment Tuesday night.
Firefighters arrived on shortly after 11 p.m., and the first crews encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions coming from the back of the house.
After conducting an initial search of the home, firefighters found one person and removed them from danger. EMS personnel performed life-saving measures, but the person was eventually pronounced dead at the scene…
