EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon’s Student Recreation Center was briefly placed on lockdown Tuesday after a reported swatting incident prompted a law enforcement response.
At about 11:10 a.m., a staff member at the Student Recreation Center received a call from a blocked, unlisted number in which the caller threatened to carry out a shooting before hanging up, according to university officials.
