ARDEN, N.C. (WLOS) — A reported structure fire in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 7, at Jim Campen Trailer Sales prompted westbound lane closures on Airport Road in Arden as emergency crews responded.
The Asheville Fire Department reported that crews were dispatched to 14 Airport Road just after 4:30 a.m.
“Upon arrival at approximately 4:42 a.m., crews determined the situation constituted a working structure fire and initiated a defensive strategy to combat the blaze,” AFD spokesperson John Harbin told News 13. “By 5:09 a.m., fire suppression efforts had successfully confined the fire to the exterior of the building. At approximately 5:16 a.m., the fire was declared under control, and the release of additional firefighting personnel commenced.”…
